Three women break the silence about living with HIV

While pregnant, Chantal learns that she is HIV-positive: what will happen to the child? Christiane, a businesswoman, did not think she was engaging in risky behavior while traveling. Judith did not know that by accompanying her boyfriend, who was dying of AIDS, she would develop the disease. Three women living with the disease talk about their emotions and attitudes in the face of this terrible and inexorable illness. Founded in Quebec City in 1973 by Helen Doyle, Nicole Giguère and Hélène Roy, Vidéo Femmes was a pioneering collective in feminist filmmaking and video production in Canada. Through documentaries, fiction and experimental works, it amplified women's voices and explored their experiences, struggles and aspirations. For more than forty years, the collective helped launch the careers of numerous Quebec women filmmakers and played a major role in producing and promoting bold, independent and socially engaged cinema.
